OUR PURPOSE
You are invited to experience an outdoor world of fun, joy and love. Here is the place to make new friends, grow, share, and live the Christian faith.** As an extension of the ministry of the local church, this Outdoor Ministry provides experiences so volunteers and campers may:
- Find or renew their faith
- Grow in relationship to God and others
- Develop potential and build esteem
- Experience God's grace and love
- Share Christian love
- Discover God's natural world
- Integrate scripture with personal experience
**A Christian life-style is modeled and no attempt is made to convert persons to any particular denomination.
OUR PROGRAM
We offer summer camping for all age levels and provide retreat facilities for interested groups. The New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church actually owns Covenant Hills, and the United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ in Vermont jointly program Covenant Hills. We operate as a children's camp in the state of Vermont, licensed by the Board of Health, and we are regularly inspected by authorized officials. Inspection reports are on file at camp and in the respective state offices.
Covenant Hills Christian Camp is also an accredited member of the American Camp Association (ACA). The ACA prescribes nearly 300 standards that a camp must maintain in order to be accredited. Standards include evaluation of the camp's operation - screening and hiring policies, training.
