My husband was offered a job in Pensacola, Florida. We thought about the move and everything we we would need do in order for him to take the job. We went back and forth with what we should do about it. We owned the home we lived in, so we would have to sell it and possibly move into an apartment or buy another home. This seemed like the most daunting task of all. Selling a home isn’t always easy and finding another place to live isn’t easy either. We weighed both the pros and the cons and after much consideration, we decided that moving was the best choice for us. The job he was offered paid much more than the job he had and it was still with the same company that had a great future.
Our first step was to list our home for sale and start looking for real estate in the Pensacola, Florida area. We looked around at several homes for sale and found a few that we liked, however they were a little more than we would be used to paying. We decided that until we sold our home, we would just find an apartment to live in and look at homes once we were settled in and living there.
We found an apartment that we liked and it was close to my husband’s new job. We decided to go ahead and make arrangements with the landlord so it would be ready when we moved there. We paid the deposit amount and got everything ready for the move.
Within about a week of moving to Pensacola, Florida and my husband starting his new job, we had an offer on our home for sale. It was close to what we were originally asking for the home so we took the offer. We were able to pay our mortgage completely off and have enough money to put down on another home here. We wanted to finish our time out for the lease of the apartment we were in so we didn’t get any penalties for that. We searched and looked at a few homes before we finally found on that was within our price range and what we wanted. We have loved living in this new home so far and are glad we moved to Pensacola.
